The Vikings Finally Conquered Davao!

I am not the usual "buffet foodie" but sometimes, stress takes too much toll on me that I succumbed to rewarding myself with good food. And although, there are a lot of buffet restaurants already available in the city, I bet that like me, you're the type who doesn't want to come back and taste the same food again and again, that's why trying out new buffet restaurants won't really hurt.

For over a month of occupying my news feed in Facebook, I finally got to try the latest addition in the list of buffet restaurants in Davao City - the VIKINGS. Davao City was chosen to have their first branch outside Metro Manila, and take note, this restaurant is proud to be the largest buffet restaurant in the Philippines with a seating capacity of five to six hundred guests.

The interiors of their branch in SM Lanang Premier really blew me away making me feel like I was transported to a different location.  The restaurant was indeed really huge and that even though it is jam-packed with customers, it didn't give a claustrophobic feeling. Now, that's one good reason why hotel buffets should be threatened.

Vikings boasts of seven stations with a full live show kitchen that also provides entertainment as their chefs showcase actual preparation of high-quality and fresh food. Allow me to share with you my latest gastronomic adventure at Vikings wherein I was one of the lucky bloggers invited to enjoy a luxurious buffet experience.

Being a Japanese food lover that I am, a great buffet for me is one which has an overwhelming supply of Japanese cuisine, not to mention, my all-time favorite, the salmon sashimi. Indeed, Vikings did not disappoint me with their multiple Japanese food selections that I really end up a happy foodie even just on my first plate.

It would be better if you get the chance to taste a bit of everything Vikings has to offer, but I truly recommend not to miss out on their steaks and baby back ribs. There's also a grilled station wherein you can request them to prepare anything that you want.

Of course, a full meal wouldn't be complete without the desserts! They also serve Filipino delicacies, customized crepes, frozen yogurt and unlimited ice cream, you will really have a hard time deciding which goes first into your belly.

Drinks are also unlimited and you have a variety of drinks to choose from which also includes an unlimited supply of draft beer.

Since I was allowed to bring guests, I brought my parents along with me, making this my first blogger event with them. My mother is not really a fan of buffets since she's cautious of seafood, but I bet Vikings really satisfied her to the extent of coming back again with the rest of the family. I don't mind spending again for this buffet experience since I am really convinced that it's truly worth it. I am definitely looking forward to coming back again for another #eatlikeaViking session.

Great food, wide selections, luxurious ambiance, warm service from the crew plus a pleasurable dining entertainment definitely make the dining experience a notch above the rest when in Vikings.

Vikings is located at the Ground Floor, Fountain Court SM Lanang Premier. For prices, kindly refer to the photo below, or you may like their Facebook page for instant updates on promotions and discounts.

Thank you Vikings for this legendary gastronomic experience! I'll definitely come back again!
