Forgive me for not updating my food blog more often but trust me, I got a lot of food posts coming up! But for now, let me share to you one of the latest additions to pump up the milk tea craze here in Davao City - Chatime!
It was a hot Tuesday afternoon when I chanced upon a new purple tea shop at the ground floor of SM Lanang Premier. Who would not notice the long line of customers wanting to have a taste of milkteas? Little did I know that Chatime was actually a popular brand for milk teas not only in Manila but around the world, and before the end of 2012, it finally opened its doors to Davao's milk tea enthusiasts.
And so I gave in to Chatime's temptations and ordered the strawberry yogurt smoothie. It took me a long time to choose from among a wide array of milk tea, smoothies and other selections. Since I wasn't in the mood for milk tea, I chose the strawberry yogurt smoothie (P80).
I like how the sweetness and a little bit of sourness of a strawberry and yogurt are captured in this drink. As you can see in the photo above, the ice is finely blended giving a real smooth texture to the drink. Overall, it made a good impression of a drink that will surely make me ask for more. But next time, I'll definitely try some of their milk teas and juices should I chanced upon SM Lanang Premier again.
